In 2010 I joined the board of the Calgary Centre for Global Community, a charitable organization which recognizes the interconnectedness of local and global issues and their impact on community well-being.

In 2014 I joined the board of Chic Geek, a non-profit organization that encourages women to be makers, builders, and creators who leverage technology to shape the world we live in. Through casual hack nights, networking events, a mentorship program, and a partnership with Ladies Learning Code, Chic Geek is creating a welcoming, supportive, confidence-building community for women to explore technology and entrepreneurship.

I’m also a supporter and volunteer technical advisor to Making Treaty 7, Leadership Calgary, the Calgary Youth Science Fair, the Calgary Secular Church and Calgary Reads.
